VILLAGE ON WAUREGAN ROLLOVER

Shortly after 21:00 hours QV began
taking reports of a vehicle rolled over with it's occupant still inside
on Green Hollow Road in the area of the Music Lady Cafe.
Moments later the assignment was dispatched bringing Central Village,
the Moosup FD for R-494, and the Moosup Ambulance to the scene.
Central Village units were in the area immediately, and found nothing on
Green Hollow Road in the first due. Units continued further North
into the Wauregan section where the incident was located one-half mile
over the district line. One vehicle was found overturned in the
roadway with the lone occupant self-extricated and uninjured. The
heavy rescue assignment from Moosup was released, and Atwood Hose was
requested to the scene to close the roadway on the North side of the
accident. The crew from ET-197 secured all hazards associated with
the vehicle, and units held the scene with the Plainfield Police until
the roadway could be re-opened. Central Village and Atwood Hose
units returned to service just prior to 23:00 hours. |
