VEHICLE FIRE - TEXAS HEIGHTS ROAD

Just prior to 14:30 hours
this afternoon Central Village units were dispatched to Texas Heights
Road for a reported vehicle fire. QV Dispatch advised responding
units that the vehicle in question was in the driveway of the residence
adjacent to an outbuilding, and the caller stated flames were visible to
the rear of the vehicle. ET-197 responded with a crew of 4.
Upon arrival, the property owner had extinguished the small fire near
the vehicle's fuel tank with a dry-powder extinguisher and a garden
hose. The engine crew ensured all hazards were eliminated and
obtained vehicle information. ET-197 returned to service within 10
minutes. |
