VS. POLE CLOSED EAST MAIN STREET

Shortly after 21:00
hours QV dispatched the Central Village Fire Company to a vehicle
accident vs. pole at the intersection of E. Main Street and Green
Hollow Road. ET-197 & R-197 responded on the run. First
arriving Deputy Chief LaPierre (C-197) reported a pick-up truck vs.
telephone pole on E. Main Street, adjacent to the I-395 Exit 89
southbound off-ramp. The single occupant of the truck was
self-extricated upon arrival and uninjured. Due to the
precarious condition of the involved telephone pole, E. Main Street
and the highway exit ramp were closed to all traffic. Station
97 units held the scene until the power company deemed the situation
safe. Central Village units returned to service around 22:30
hours.
