CAR V. POLE CLOSES E. MAIN STREET

- Shortly after 03:00 hours QV dispatched Central Village units to
investigate a telephone pole fire second to a non-injury motor vehicle
accident in the area of 50 E. Main Street. ET-197 responded on the
run with five (5) members. First arriving Assistant Chief Irons
(C-297) noted no active fire on the involved pole, and determined the
incident was not as reported. Fire department personnel deemed
there to be no hazards associated with the vehicle, and confirmed that
the operator was uninjured. The Plainfield Police remained on
scene closing E. Main Street for an extended period of time while
Central Village units returned to service within 15 minutes.
